Fensa

FENSA is a government authorised scheme established in 2002 in response to the current Building Regulations. The scheme covers the quality of companies against building regulations that replace windows, doors, roof windows and roof lights in England and Wales. All windows and doors installed in properties since 1st April 2002 must have a FENSA certificate if work is completed by a FENSA member. FENSA members either register their work with local authority Building Control or join a Competent Person Scheme (CPS), the latter allows them to self-certify their work. Using a FENSA member gives you significant cost reductions as you avoid local authority inspections and fees. It also means you know that your FENSA member company has undergone rigorous tests and is regularly inspected to make sure that their work is compliant. All work undertaken by a FENSA member is issued with a certificate which you should keep safe in case it is needed in the future. White Cat Joinery is proud to be a member of FENSA.

The Guild of Master Craftsmen

The Guild of Master Craftsmen represents over 400 different trades and professions including sash window joiners and is a recognised trades’ body. The Guild has a database consisting of reputable and skilled individuals and companies that you can trust. All members are approved and must demonstrate the quality of their work as well as commitment to customer care in order to be an accredited member. The British Wood Working Federation

This organisation offers business support to over 700 members in the home improvements sector. It also offers guidance for customers that use member products and services. As a member, we receive updates and expert guidance on standards, certification and regulations as well as our own industry support when required. To be a member of the BWWF a business or individual must prove the quality of their craftsmanship and a high standard of customer service. White Cat Joinery is proud to be a member of the BWWF.
